A quick history of ISI Web of Knowledge®
ISI Web of Knowledge started with a single idea...and a man who could
see the possibilities of that idea. In 1955, Dr.
Eugene Garfield revolutionized scientific research with his concept of citation
indexing and searching.
Decades later, technology finally caught up with his
concept and Web of Science® brought Web linking and citation
searching together to create a powerful and versatile research platform. ISI
Web of Knowledge was the next logical step-- bringing together a full range
of data, tools and technology in one, integrated, ever-evolving resource.
