ResearcherID.com
NEW! Simplified sign-in: One sign-on delivers access to three powerful resources
What is ResearcherID.com? ResearcherID is a free, online community where authors receive a unique identifier to eliminate author misidentification, increase recognition of an author's work (e.g., H-index) and facilitate global collaboration among researchers. At this site, you can:
- Update your profile information
- Build your publication list using Web of Science search services or uploading a file
- Select to make your profile public or private.
- Use new tools in the interactive Labs environment to understand your personal metrics:
- The Citings Articles Network graphically depicts who is citing your articles using an interactive world map
- The Collaboration Network displays your collaboration associates also using an interactive world map
- A Badge feature that allows you or others to place an interactive badge on any web page
Whether you're registered or not, you can search the Researcher Registry to view profiles and find potential collaborators.
What is a ResearcherID number? A ResearcherID number is a unique identifier that consists of alphanumeric characters. Each number contains the year you registered.
I would like a ResearcherID number! How do I register?
If you are already a registered ISI Web of Knowledge subscriber, fill out the Online Registration form using the same email address and password you use to log in to the ISI Web of Knowledge. This simplifies your login procedure and allows you to customize your research experience.
If you are not an ISI Web of Knowledge subscriber, simply submit your registration request online.
For more detailed instructions, visit the "How to Register for ResearcherID" page. Please note: Registration requests are manually reviewed to ensure the quality of our membership. The turn-around time is approximately one week.
What are the benefits of registering at ResearcherID.com? You can take advantage of the ability to build your own custom profile and avoid the common problem of author misidentification. Once registered, you will be provided with the tools to build your publication list by searching the Web of Science, or by uploading your own publication list. You will then be able to generate citation metrics from the citation data on your publication list.
